Senior Men's Activities

Each year a match play league is run along with several events catering to members 50 years and up.

Senior Match Play Championship (John Newell Trophy)

With both a qualifier round followed by elimination games. This summer long event is a perennial favorite to see who is the last man standing.

Two Man Scramble

Starting with breakfast to encourage competition, players face off in an 18 hole event with a couple of twists to the handicap rules to keep things interesting.

Ryder Cup

A traditional test of golf endurance, the Senior Men’s Ryder Cup is played on a four consecutive Fridays! Teams are selected from the entrants by the four Team Captains, usually balanced for handicap – size of the teams is determined by number of entrants. Since the handicaps of the two teams are equal overall, all matches are played off scratch.

Nick Dooh Putting Trophy

The best three of four rounds for Wednesday's in July only weeds out the qualifiers for a 9 hole  putting competition.

Senior Medal Play

This open event is a fun day with both gross and net events.
